It is that time of year where we send our resolutions and dreams out into the universe…so I’m sending mine out there…
I am dreaming...of an elder care facility that is specific to LGBT elderly. I envision a community center, a medical clinic, and even a hospice for those who can not take care of themselves. It won't be exclusive, but it will be open to those who have open hearts and open minds, especially among the staffers. I dream of a place for people to enjoy their lives, not wait for death. A one-stop "shop". The one thing that they also must abide by is that they tell their story. Only through their shared experience can we truly understand our present.
